Keeping watch over WR Lee
The month of November is more than half over, but it's been a good month for Bryan Rudder wide receiver Keithron Lee. The three-star prospect added five more Power 5 offers -- Texas, Texas Tech, Ole Miss, Arizona State and Tennessee -- to a growing list that now includes 30 schools.
SMU offered Lee last month, and the good news is that the Mustangs are still in the mix for him. He was offered by wide receivers coach David Gru but has heard from several members of the staff in the past weeks.
"I think it's a winning program. That's what I'm looking for," Lee told The HillTopics back in October. "I like what Coach Gru does with the receivers."
Lee added that he'd like to take a campus visit to SMU. The Mustangs are a contender, but all eyes will be on whether or not the Mustangs can close the deal against a growing list of strong competitors.

A&M transfer a possible target?
News broke Monday that Texas A&M wide receiver Kam Brown is entering the NCAA transfer portal. Whether that's a move that could favor SMU is still to be determined.
Back in October 2016, SMU became the first school to offer Brown as a sophomore. Brown is the son of former Dallas Cowboys cornerback Larry Brown, who was the Super Bowl XXX MVP. It should be known that the elder Brown also played college ball at TCU.

The big question: Will the younger Brown follow his father's footsteps? Or can a school like SMU make a splash? After all, SMU offered Brown three months before TCU did.

Dartmouth transfer another to watch
Speaking of potential transfers, SMU has shown interest in Dartmouth wide receiver Drew Estrada. Originally from Argyle, Texas, Estrada is a player who finished his career at Dartmouth with 2,932 career all-purpose yards (1,418 receiving yards), 110 catches and 10 touchdowns.

With COVID-19 alive and well, the Ivy League Council of Presidents chose not to conduct fall sports. Estrada was granted a fifth year of eligibilty because of a medical hardship -- and that year was supposed to be in 2020. He'll now be eligible to play as a graduate transfer, and SMU is a contender.
Since the end of last month, Estrada has received offers from SMU, Utah, Rice, Texas State and Western Kentucky. Most recently, Estrada was offered by Florida State last Friday.
