My thoughts:
-Nick Natour might not be 100 percent. That means that SMU's offensive line will be strung together and thin today. Not a good combination considering Oliver is healthy. Could be a long day for the offense.
-Still not sure if Hicks will start. Sonny Dykes said Will Brown had a good showing at practice Tuesday, but seemed to indicate that he liked the way Hicks kept the team in the game Saturday. As we have some restrictions placed upon us by the AD, I'll wait until around kickoff to provide an update.
-Last time Houston was in Ford as a ranked team, SMU ran away with a 38-16 victory and I lost my favorite pair of sunglasses in the ensuing celebration. I do not expect SMU to do that today. Houston is bigger, stronger and faster than SMU is. The biggest factor in this game will be the fact that SMU's offense will have trouble matching Houston's scoring output. Still, my sunglasses are staying at home.
