LB started off with a few quick notes about AI and his nomination for the hall of fame and how amazing that is for him. He also noted that President Bush talking to the team before the game really made the team feel good. Also watching Nic Moore play on such a huge stage really is special after his long career and seeing him grow into a real winner and leader.
Larry also said he had to get mean with a few players at practice (not that he's usually nice) about their effort and how they were playing defensively and he said it's great to see it pay off.

The splash brothers of SMU for the night said that the Gonzaga game was as close to a tourny game as they could get and it was a big win for them after the loss to Tulsa. Nic said that they agreed after last game that they should never lose two games at home consecutively. Both players said that after Tulsa their issue was defensive as they were only worried about their own individual targets instead of playing help defense.
