Didn't get to talk wtih LB but here are some notes from practice today:
  • Nic Moore was throwing good lobs and setting up guys like Semi Ojeleye and Markus Kennedy with good looks. His shot looked good from deep outside of a rare airball from the corner that drew some laughs from his teammates and coaches. Moore was fighting hard to prevent entry passes to Jarrey Foster
  • Moore and freshman point guard Sedrick Barefield both came down from watching film in the coaches' office together.
  • Jordan Tolbert said he felt the scrimmage went well and the freshmen played well with Barefield and Shake Milton handling some point duties.
  • Keith Frazier was back practicing with the team. He looked better moving the ball around than he did a year ago. Any concerns about lingering effects of his knee should be erased by the way he was dunking the ball on Monday, with both his right and left hands. Overall Frazier looked like he is thinking a little less about what the right play should be and instead is just playing out there, a big improvement from a year ago.
  • Jarrey Foster threw a nice lob to Ojeleye off an in-bounds pass. He and the other two freshmen looked good shooting the ball. Shake Milton dropped a couple of passes in the paint that he needs to corral.
  • Yanick Moreira practiced with the team to give them an extra look in the post.
  • Ben Emelogu did not practice again but I'm starting to hear better things about his long-term prognosis.
  • Kennedy was showing off an improved deep shot on Monday, taking advantage of open looks when the chance arose.
