SFtoHilltop: Heard Eno Benjamin was the open practice with SMU gear on. With his commitment upcoming May, are you hearing any whispers? To piggyback off of that, if he is not the next commit who will be?

First off, Benjamin is actually set to announce on April 18 he announced. SMU has done a great job on the Wylie East back and is a real contender but don't put too much stock in him wearing SMU gear (remember how Elijjah Thomas loved to post pictures of himself on Twitter in SMU sweaters?). The heavy favorite for Benjamin at this point is Iowa by all accounts. As for who could be next? Tight end Cade Brewer is one of the most likely guys along with running back Kayce Medlock, who told me he turned down numerous other schools to make sure he can go to SMU's spring game on the 16th. It feels like it's just a matter of time before Medlock commits to SMU.

blackoutpony: After seeing how bad the oline is (again) which freshmen, if any, do you think will have a legitimate shot at starting in the fall?

To be fair to the offensive line, when I watched them on Saturday it was seven guys rotating through five spots for three hours, no breaks. I don't care how good Trumain Carroll is at his job, that's brutal on guys that size. That said, I think Kadarius Smith has a good chance to start at guard and Jacob Todora could grab a tackle spot, though that seems less likely. Wild card there is Harrison Barton; he's slated as a center for SMU and Evan Brown looks entrenched there but Barton could see time at guard this season or get called up if Brown gets hurt.

PonyLawExpress: Are we still looking for a Guard in the 2016 class, since the Bruno commit? Heard anything new about our newest offer Kris Clyburn, is there legit interest on both sides?

SMU likely knew Fernando was going to commit before it offered Clyburn so a sixth scholarship could go to a guard. I haven't heard anything about Clyburn's interest.

SMUguru: Who is the 6th player for the 2016 going to be? True point guard? Grad transfer? JuCo kid?

SMU has been quiet on the grad transfer market thus far so JuCo seems more likely this point especially after the offer to Clyburn. Don't be surprised if SMU goes after any kids who get out of their letters of intent after the coaching switches bear out, too. But a guard is almost certainly the direction SMU will go with the spot, and personally I think point guard is the best way to go to solidify the spot behind Shake Milton. Clyburn and Darrell Brown are the best guys available for SMU at the moment with offers.
blackoutpony: Is there anyone who physically looks like a monster after the winter conditioning like KC Nlemchi did last year?
Not in the same jaw-dropping way. Michael Scott looks like a load out there. Alex Honey is way stronger than he was as a redshirt. Those are the two main guys that come to mind.
