Matt Davis:
- Not the end result we were hoping for. It felt like he was extremely proud of the way his guys played, never gave up, fought to the end, celebrate that but the days of the moral victories at SMU....this feeling we have in our stomachs is unacceptable.
- This will be a great gage for our program for where we are and where we want to be
- Thought our guys were ready to play, fans were outstanding, great tonight, it was awesome getting behind our guys.
- The effort I saw tonight, really should have been tied at halftime, still a ball game late in third quarter but gave them some easy stuff, proud of way our guys played but we'll battle back
- On what he said at halftime: Do you believe? Obviously they said they do, told them it takes one play at a time.
- Said Davis knew he should have thrown the ball away at end of first half to get chance at field goal, said it as he came off the field
- I should put the team in better situations than I did. felt like we ran the football well but got away from game plan early third quarter
- He knew the team believed before this game, happy with how team has worked, if anyone didn't believe they do now

- Davis was a difference maker, ability to move chains with his feet when things break down is his biggest asset, pressed a little bit but great leader, won his teammates over tonight with his play, proud of whole team,

Matt Davis:
- Cramped after getting hit by the calf, but no issue after getting back in game
- Thought the Sutton TD was a positive but not too surprised because of confidence in Sutton
- Think offensive line did a heck of a job, quieted a lot of commentators about them after taking flack from them last year. Coach Fry did a great job and whole offense has faith in OL
- He thinks team did some positive things, with Baylor until midway through third quarter, called his play at end of second quarter a "dumb mistake" and also criticized himself for overthrowing Courtland
- Said O made a lot of mistakes but still a lot of positives still
- Thinks that as an offense a lot more comfortable in the offense than last year, offense is gelling and playing well as a team
- Doesn't care about how many runs he got he just wants to win no matter what
- Not going to prepare any different from Baylor for UNT
- Thought Jones and West did a great job today, learned a lot over offseason
- Hesitated before saying that "slide" is not in his vocabulary but Coach wants him to yes, laughing a little
