Sorry this is late, my daughter's upcoming wedding seems to consume more and more time.......

Anyway, just to level-set us all, Tulsa is not a very good team. Sloppy, penalty-ridden and a QB that can't handle pressure.......

However, with McCarty back in the line-up and the remainder of the OL receiving tongue-lashings, the offense showed improvement. Hicks began to deliver and began to make good decisions. Still has a way to go, but there is progress. Too bad that Stick-Em is outlawed, because a few receivers seem to need it.........

Despite some moments of conservatism, the coaches finally opened the play book and began to stretch the defense horizontally. Probably had a lot to do with improved OL play and, as a result, the opposing DL was not able to dance the Light-Fandango in the SMU backfield.

OK, the DBs are decent. But they are getting exposed, particularly the Safeties, by less-than-acceptable LB play----shudder to think what will happen to them when Houston, which has a fairly mobile and accurate QB, passes play after play after play......DL doing OK, but lack of depth gets them worn down by mid-third quarter-----shudder to think what will happen to them when Navy runs right at them play after play after play....

Special teams....man oh man oh man.......depth issue--can't gas your O and D starters on kick-offs and punts.

OK, gotta go....thanks for reading.
