The Watch List honors continue to grow for quarterback Shane Buechele, as he was named to the Manning Award Watch List on Thursday. The award honors the nation's college football quarterback, according to the Allstate Sugar Bowl Committee.
Buechele became SMU's all-time leader in single-season passing yards and passing touchdowns last season. He returns after a monster 2019 season that included him throwing for 3,929 yards and 34 touchdowns.
Buechele already has been named to the Davey O'Brien Award and Maxwell Award Watch Lists, in addition to the Wuerffel Trophy Watch List. Let's not forget that Buechele also is on the cover of Dave Campbell's Texas Football magazine.
