The spring 2020 football roster is out, and here are a couple of quick notes:
-- Linebacker Richard McBryde is on the roster. Per a source, McBryde was granted his sixth year of eligibility. He will be a leader on the defense, and with Delano Robinson and a healthy Richard Moore coming back, the Mustangs will have a dynamic trio of backers.
-- WR Reggie Roberson Jr. is back, and the word we're getting is that he's moving well. He's been running routes and looks like he's getting close to being back to the speedy target for Shane Buechele. That's great news for the SMU offense.
-- The RB battle between TJ McDaniel and Ulysses Bentley IV will be one to watch. It'll be tough for the young backs to produce similar numbers as Xavier Jones. Tough, but not impossible.
-- All eyes will be on the three newest scholarship players in DT Will Jones, RB Tyler Lavine and LS Cole Voyles. Sonny Dykes gave them the news of earning scholarships a couple of days ago. The spring will be the perfect time to prove to everyone else that they are worthy.
