Kedrick James has entered the NCAA transfer portal for a second time, sources told Rivals.com and The HillTopics on Wednesday.
James is a one-time Alabama tight end who entered the transfer portal the first time back in the summer of 2019. He enrolled at SMU in time for fall camp but missed the majority of the season with a knee injury.
James never played a down at SMU. Upon his arrival, he was expected to form a nice 1-2 punch at the position with Kylen Granson.
James was a four-star prospect in the 2017 recruiting class. The former Waco La Vega talent was ranked the nation's No. 10 tight end in the 2017 class.
