I've enjoyed exchanging comments with many of you over the last seven years, but after finally sorting through the difficult process of terminating my subscription . . . it is time to go. This site has teetered on extermination at a few points in recent years. As others noted over the course of the weekend, Adam did a great job in rebuilding the site, but now there is literally no reason to stay.
I understand the publisher is a student doing this as a part-time gig. However, as an SMU journalism graduate from many, many years ago I cannot accept virtually shutting down the site on the last weekend of football season when bowl eligibility is on the line and the head coach is flirting with offers from another school. There is so much need for content and insight yet the best we can do is second hand information from another site and the input of fellow subscribers.
And this morning as hopefully the dust is starting to settle the only new thread and new information being offered is SMU volleyball's post-season matchup? I got that information yesterday via e-mail directly from SMU! I'm not paying good money for this site to get old news. There are other options available.
