SMU defensive end Delontae Scott had an impressive senior season, one that included 39 tackles (18 for loss), 10 sacks, four quarterback hurries and three forced fumbles. His play earned second-team All-American Athletic Conference honors earlier this week.
Thursday afternoon, the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl announced that Scott has accepted an invitation to play in its annual all-star game on Jan. 18 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. The NFLPA Collegiate Bowl dubs itself as "the premier postseason all-star game" for draft-eligible college players.
Scott, from Irving, Texas, was a leader on SMU's defensive line and a player who nearly finished with 100 tackles for his career. He had 97 tackles (36 for loss) and 18 sacks during his four-year stint.
