Insider's Thread: Four-star 2024 Florida QB Tyler Aronson set to visit SMU

During the 2021 season, Tyler Aronson was lacing the ball against Florida competition for The Benjamin School. Covering 2,177 yards with a 29/5 touchdown to interception ratio, Aronson caught next level attention from offensive coordinators. Nine offers are down with a busy spring ahead for the four-star learning the playbook at his new stomping ground, St. Thomas Aquinas.

Interest is coming in from Penn State, Utah, Texas A&M, Alabama and Georgia with Miami, Florida State, Wake Forest and Georgia Tech among his most recent offers. His ties in the Miami area with the Hurricanes will lead him to Dallas for an SMU visit.

“I am going to SMU at the beginning of April,” Aronson said. “Coach Lash (Rhett Lashlee) is there, he offered me at Miami. I really like him, and I am very interested in SMU.”

Other possible upcoming visits for Aronson include Penn State, Georgia, Texas and Texas A&M.

The Samples exodus is upon us.

So many moving parts to this story. There's the Dykes situation, which impacts Samples on if he'd follow or go elsewhere. Samples was super impactful on getting Red, Biddle, Hudson, Nelson and Russell to verbally commit. Then there's who would step in to replace Dykes if its not someone in-house.

Not a great Wednesday before Thanksgiving.
